Once upon Last Saturday: BREVARD ZOO - Melbourne, Florida

Yes it was last Saturday, the family rose early and was eagerly anticipating on a new experience that would sure bring a smile to all our faces. Where are we going? It was the perfect sunny day to visit to Brevard Zoo in Melbourne, Florida, 45 minutes drive from our city. It was indeed one of the great experienced we had here in Florida. My family and I got fortunate to be given the invitation to visit the wonderful zoo and we are grateful for that. It's been for awhile we are excited to go there actually and timely last Saturday we were in the mood for a ride so daddy took us early that morning! I must say there are so much things to do at the Brevard Zoo! From watching the animals, exhibits, treetop trek, train ride to kayaking and so much more.

Kids were ecstatic upon entering to the zoo, the lil man was very much excited and can't help himself exploring at the Paws On area, best place for lil kids to play and just have the best time of their life. They have Gopher Tortoise INN and thought that is the coolest thing, it's like you are at the Tortoise habitat, the giant Turtle welcome you first. The lil man made a posed with it!

Kids have the petting zone, where all cute animals awaits them, such as llamas, goats, an armadillo and the coolest one ever as what they called the 16 year old tortoise. Then, the next pit stop was at the wildlife detective training academy it was the highlight of our day. My kiddos spent like an hour inside, they love crawlies and was able to hold lizards. Not to mention they both love lizards of any kind, my girl even wanted to bring the big one home to be her pet, very silly girl! lol.

~ One of my favorite moment, at the crocodile farm, or at Wild Florida, lol. Of course i had to have a souvenir from them. I conquered my fear to be with the croc entrance sign and managed to took a candid photo with it, haha! Not scared anymore! Literally, it's my first time to be so close to a reptile and it's a HUGE one! So, if you wanted to see a real big one? Brevard Zoo has it!

More of the beautiful and coolest animals we have seen there. I felt so lucky and so as my family to be able to see the Giraffes so close and personal, you could touch them from head unlike most of zoos i've visited they can only be seen far from a distance you know! Another thing i love about the Brevard Zoo is that they are very much equip and they really wanted you to enjoy every moment you were there. The staff greets you nicely and very friendly.

I was going crazy (in a good way) haha, when we are at the Australia/Asia part of the zoo, because we were able to see in our naked eyes and literally touch some of the most gorgeous birds I've seen, one particular are the colorful stunning Lorikeet birds! Where you can feed them at your bare hands! Cool huh? Of course, the famous and the most beautiful birds are present too, I am talking about the Flamingos! They are my favorite birds of all time and whenever we go zooing, i never miss the chance to take beautiful pictures of them, just love love them!

Kids still on their mode about what we did on the weekend. The lil man, keep saying " I really really love that zoo... i wanna go back there again!". Likewise the lil girl! Definitely we will be going back there again! So, when you have your vacation here in sunshine state? don't miss to stop by and explore the zoo. Planned your visit and have fun guys! Check them out at Facebook and Twitter for more latest updates and tweets!

I still have plenty to share, more cool photos and about the awesome Art of Sand exhibit experienced!

Oh cool! you already went to the zoo. Bet it was fun. We never have alligators in our zoo here so kids have no idea how they look in person yet. Nice photos.

I love zoos! I wish I could see a turtle up close like that. The last time I see a giraffe was when I was in grade school! You gave me an idea to check out the local zoos.
